Handover with a photo record and a short introduction to charging. Then the van is yours.

Assumption: a comparable diesel bus at 9.5 litres per 100 km, diesel at CHF 2.10 a litre (Swiss average, May 2026). The CO₂ figure refers to the diesel vehicle’s tailpipe. Extra kilometres above the included limit are charged at CHF 0.45 — electricity included in that too.

Questions

What to know before booking.

Do I need a special licence?
No. The van is registered as a passenger car and has seven seats. A normal category B licence is enough. A passenger transport permit is only required above seven people.
Is this a 9-seater?
No — the van has seven seats. If you need nine, we are not the right fit. For groups of up to seven it is more comfortable than a classic minibus: seven full individual seats instead of fold-down benches, and the luggage compartment stays usable even when every seat is taken.
How far do I get on one charge?
Around 360 km in mixed use. More in town in summer, closer to 220–270 km on the motorway in winter. Bern–Zurich, Bern–Basel or a day trip into the Bernese Oberland and back all fit on one charge.
How do I charge on the road?
You get a charging card that works at most fast chargers in Switzerland. A fast charger takes about 38 minutes from 10 to 80 per cent. Charging up to your kilometre allowance is on us.
Can I use it to move house?
For boxes, small furniture and equipment yes — the rear bench comes out. For a whole household no: the payload is 570 kg. A proper van will join the fleet for that.
Can I drive abroad?
Yes, within Europe. Tell us when you enquire so we can prepare the insurance confirmation and the vignette.
What happens if something gets damaged?
Liability and comprehensive cover are included. For damage you caused, you pay the CHF 1500 excess. That can be reduced to CHF 300 for a daily supplement.
What if I need to cancel?
Free up to 48 hours before the rental starts. After that we charge 50 per cent, and the full amount from the day of handover.
